General Discussion

Nearly 2.1 million registered Maricopa County voters participated in the 2024 General Election.  87.6% of voters cast an early ballot, but how and when they returned it varied.  Here’s the breakdown:

• Voted early in-person at a Vote Center: 218,368

• Voted in-person on Election Day: 256,057

• Returned an early ballot to a Vote Center or Drop Box: 631,006

• Returned an early ballot by U.S. Mail: 973,029

We’re proud of our election workers who made sure every legal ballot counted.  With a two-page ballot, that meant staff had to process twice the amount of paper as usual (4,133,881 pages, to be exact!).   Thank you, voters and thank you, election heroes!
